Since when has an animated movie been allowed to be nominated for best picture?!? It's one of the reasons that The Incredibles couldn't win it either. As far as I know animated films are not elligible for this award; they're given a whole seperate category. Did this change while I wasn't looking? Anybody know what's going on with that?

Well, Beauty and the Beast was one other nominated film for Best Picture. I think that animated films are allowed to be nominated but they have better chances in the animated films category, obviously.
